How can your church partner with ohana health?
At Ohana Health, we refer to our services as Samaritan services or Innkeeper services. If we want to serve women facing unplanned pregnancy effectively, we must focus on doing what we do best – focus on her immediate needs & empower her to choose life. We don’t want to stop there though and we need your help! Ohana Health serves women from the moment she thinks she may be pregnant, through the time her baby is 18 months old, with a goal to share life-long community for her and her family. Your church can support our mission by meeting her where she is at when she thinks she may be pregnant and becoming the life-long community she can join beyond Ohana Health.
Here are ways your church can support us!
Apply for your church to become an Ohana Innkeeper
Throughout a mother’s time with Ohana Health, we gather more information about what her needs are. She may be in need of a food pantry, a mom’s meet up group, a grief group, marriage resources, clothing, child-care or other offerings your church may have for moms.
Here’s the problem though – she may not have any experience – or worse, poor experiences with the church. This is where you come in. Yes, you! Or maybe a woman in your church who knows the ins and outs of anything and everything she can offer to a new or expecting mother.
All we need from you to get started is:
- Confirm that your church is life-affirming (consider becoming a House of Refuge!)
- Confirm with your Pastor that you are interested in getting the church involved as an Ohana Innkeeper and that Ohana will reach out to them with more details
- Email us with:
- Name of your church, Pastor’s name, number/email
- A list of ministries/services/events your church offers that may help moms in need of support or community
Unplanned Pregnancy First Responder Training for Churches

Baby Bottle Fundraiser
You can also support our work by holding a Baby Bottle Fundraiser.
- Get Started: Complete our quick form to nominate your church, school, or business. You can also request a baby-bottle drop-off or stop by Ohana Health to pick them up.
- Fill the Bottles: Collect spare change, cash, or checks in each bottle—every little bit helps.
- Return/Schedule Drop-Off: Return the filled bottles to Ohana Health and we will send you the total raised amount after we deposit!
Many of our partnering churches find it most successful to offer this for a set period of time – such as starting the campaign on Mother’s Day and collecting bottles on Father’s Day, or beginning the campaign the first Sunday in January to promote the sanctity-of-life awareness month and collecting bottles the first Sunday in February.
